Our Volunteers

Working together to make an impact, our airline crew represent the heart of Project Wingman.

Otherwise known as ‘Winglets’, our volunteers are at the core of all that we do. In their tenacity and determination, they’ve helped Project Wingman provide more than 50 years worth of support.

About Volunteering

Both behind the scenes and on the front line, our volunteers work tirelessly in improving the lives of others. And in turn, we provide a national support network as our aviation colleagues recover from an unprecedented time in history.

During the pandemic, we helped our colleagues regain a sense of purpose. And since, they’ve helped hundreds of frontline healthcare workers manage stress, reduce effort, improve effectiveness and enhance patient care.

“After being furloughed, Project Wingman gave me back my sense of purpose and belonging.”

At Project Wingman, we’re always on the lookout for people who share our commitment and want to get involved. And as with many charities, we have plenty of different roles available: from basic admin, marketing and lounge volunteers, all the way to driving.

Whether you’re current or former air crew, or work in the aviation industry in general, we need you! We also need volunteers from the hospitality and customer service sectors who can help us deliver our first-class experience.
